Hello members of AAHP
The Minister of Tourism and Air Transport proceeded on June 15 to the opening of domestic flights and the resumption of tourist activities throughout the territory by observing the health protocol and respecting the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
The focus is on the internal tourism strategy with many offers related to the national tourism private sector.
As for international airspace is not yet open but will soon be opened on the instructions of the Head of State.
In addition to these preparations, the government had set up a tourist hotel and air transport credit to support players to cope and a stimulus fund for tourist activities is available to companies wishing to relaunch internal tourism activities and prepare the possible reopening of international tourism.
As a reminder, tourism is one of the engines of GDP growth at 7.5%, which gives it a strategic position in the priorities and policies of economic and social development of the country.
I remind you that senegal has a 2020/2025 tourism strategic document and has developed a resilience plan with a very extensive program based on domestic tourism with strong axes on training digital marketing promotion of the historical cultural heritage as well as the preservation of the environment through responsible tourism.
Here is my answer to your question, hoping that Senegal will distinguish itself more in the sub region to position the image of the Senegalese destination even higher in terms of African tourism and then worldwide.
