The Africa Association of Hospitality Professionals Advisory Board is pleased to welcome Apiyo Enock Aloo – CHBA, CHIA, CRME, as Country representative for Kenya.
A passionate and innovative hotelier who started his journey more than 12 years ago as a pot wash in a fine dining restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya. With a vision to leave an impact in the hospitality Industry in the continent, his passion and love for Africa has led him through a journey across the globe in search of knowledge and experience at Cornell University and MBA at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, arguably the best hotel schools in the world, at the age of 33, gathering experience in both branded and independent properties through different titles to a General Manager’s position, a certified revenue management expert, hotel business acumen and hospitality industry analytics executive, focusing on operations, pre-opening and hotel development in the region. Apiyo brings on board a young, agile, strategic and innovative mind that will greatly contribute to the overall growth and development of the Association and continent, in general.
He enjoys playing the saxophone, African drums, rugby and landscape photography.
